Geraldine Daley AM
As a Director of CDQ and the head of the injury compensation team, Geraldine is highly regarded across the profession for both her legal expertise and her commitment to clients.
After being admitted as a solicitor in 1977, Geraldine was one of the first solicitors in NSW to become an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law in 1993. She was also recognised for her significant service to the legal profession, and to the law in New South Wales, when she was named in the 2017 Australia Day Honours list and appointed as a member of the Order of Australia (AM).
Geraldine's extensive knowledge and experience, combined with her strong negotiation and mediation skills, allow her to resolve the majority of clients' disputes outside the court system. This means that her clients are able to achieve a successful outcome without having to be involved in costly and time consuming litigation. However, when a matter does proceed to Court, Geraldine provides strong court and tribunal based representation and is a tenacious and dedicated litigator.
Geraldine is involved in various aspects of the legal profession including:
- Law Society Costs Committee
- Law Society Injury Compensation Committee
- Law Society Licensing Committee
- Claims Assessor for the Motor Accidents Claims Assessment & Resolution Service (CARS)
- Legal Aid Review Committee (LARC)
In addition to serving on the Board of CDQ, she has also been appointed to the Board of Diabetes NSW/ACT.
