Local Hero Geraldine Daley: Australia Day Honours

Article 14 March 2017

The team at Colin Daley Quinn are delighted to be able to share the news that Director Geraldine Daley was named in the 2017 Australia Day Honours list.

Appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), Geraldine was recognised for her significant service to the legal profession and to the law in New South Wales, through a range of organisations, as well as to the community.

According to Geraldine, the award was both an honour and a surprise.  "I am incredibly proud," she said.  "It is such an honour to be recognised in the Australia Day Honours List - especially given the achievements and diversity of the other recipients from fields such as business, the law, medicine, politics, sport and entertainment.

"When I entered the profession, it was because I had a genuine desire to help those in need and to make a difference in my local community, which is a reward in itself.  To learn that I had been named as a Member of the Order of Australia was a very proud moment for me, my family and the team here at CDQ."
