Emily Hancock

Emily Hancock is a junior solicitor working primarily in the wills and estates practice area at CDQ.

Her interest in law was initially sparked while she was studying psychology at Sydney University and she participated in the “Not Guilty Project”, which involved law and psychology students working together to review convictions.

Wanting to see first-hand what a career in law would look like, Emily joined the CDQ team as a receptionist in 2016.  In 2017 she began studying part-time to gain her legal qualifications while assisting the CDQ team across a wide range of areas including wills and estates, personal injury, commercial, leasing and family law matters.

Following her admission as a solicitor in October 2022, Emily has been working primarily in the field of wills and estates and enjoys working with clients to identify their needs and develop appropriate strategies to protect their assets.

During her time at CDQ she has gained invaluable experience working with a broad cross-section of clients.  Emily’s warm and friendly nature immediately puts clients at ease, regardless of their situation, and she is highly regarded for her pragmatic and professional approach to work.

Outside of the office, Emily is a keen runner and a member of two running clubs.  You will find her at her local Parkrun most Saturdays and she has also been known to travel inter-state and internationally for running events.  When she isn’t running, Emily enjoys reading, swimming and planning her itinerary for future trips.
