Katrina Beltran

Katrina Beltran is an experienced and accomplished litigator who has expertise in a variety of areas including criminal law, family law and commercial law.

With a professional, yet warm and friendly, manner, Katrina is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients regardless of their situation.

Throughout her career, Katrina has successfully represented clients both in Australia and internationally facing criminal charges ranging from traffic offences through to the possession, manufacturing and trafficking of drugs, assault and more serious criminal matters.  During this time, she developed a special interest in matters relating to mental health and is also experienced in representing clients suffering from mental health or cognitive impairment and Section 14 applications.

Katrina also works in the field of family law where she has broad experience, including the provision of advice and representation in negotiating property and parenting disputes, binding financial agreements, and Consent Orders.  She is also a skilled negotiator and has achieved considerable success in resolving matters through lawyer-to-lawyer negotiations and mediation, as well as through the Court system if required.

In addition to her criminal law and family law practice, Katrina also works with business clients providing advice on a range of commercial law matters.

Katrina entered the legal profession after running her own successful business and working in creative roles with design and communications consultancies.  This experience has proven invaluable, not only in understanding the pressures many of our clients’ face in their daily lives, but also in terms of discovering her own passion for helping others and the legal profession.

Living locally, Katrina gained her legal qualifications from the University of Technology in Sydney and worked for a south-west Sydney based law firm before joining the CDQ team.  She has eclectic interests outside the legal profession including visual arts, literature, music, stand up paddleboarding and aerobatic flying!
